Skonaren Vega (Vega Schooner)
Vega had her centennial in 2009 and now she is ready to welcome aboard guests who want to experience history for themselves. The sound of water rippling against her bow, the wind whispering through her sails and knowing that you are being powered through the water by the power of the wind, fills you with well-being. Sailing with Vega fills you with a sense of humility as you work with the forces of nature. You are brought on an adventure and a voyage of discovery in a piece of living history heading into the future.
The standard onboard is comfortable and authentic. The main lounge is in the former hold below deck and there is plenty of room here for dining and socialising. Accommodation consists of 2- and 4-man cabins and a turret for 12. Our chef will treat you to excellent meals from our well-equipped galley. The same great care that has been taken to build a top quality ship is evident throughout our entire enterprise and our guests are able to experience the camaraderie that develops on board and participate in a tradition that many have heard of but few have experienced.
Vega sails with companies, groups and individuals on board in the Baltic, Skagerrak, Kattegat and in the archipelagos of Sweden and Finland. It also takes in the islands of Denmark and Germany landing in the old Hanseatic cities along the coast
