Guest Harbours
Stockholm's Archipelago has more than 60 registered guest harbours, everything from marinas with all boating services and boatyard to jetties in natural surroundings with tranquillity as their only neighbour. A lot of them display the guest harbour logo, a yellow anchor on a blue background, and are included in the guest harbour guide book (Gästhamnsguiden), which classifies harbours and collects statistics concerning their use. All the harbours are safe and secure with well-sheltered places that are easy to navigate. Services, which might include toilets, showers, rubbish bins and drinking water, are included in the tariff.
The nature of the harbours varies considerably depending on where they lie. You can choose from the large and busy archipelago centre with a high pulse, restaurants and nightlife to the stillness of the outer archipelago where the cabin lights are turned off early and silence is a major part of the experience.
