Maybe the best way to experience the Archipelago is travelling by boat or canoe. If you don't have your own vessel there are many places where you can rent. You decide your destination yourself and travel at your own pace. You can stop a couple of days next to some smooth rocks perfect for swimming when high pressure clears the heavens of cloud or moor up in one of the large guest harbours for pub life and shopping if the weather changes. If you want to build up your confidence, you can join a charter and get really close to the sea and jetties.
